"We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ".
In May 2002 God put on our heart to manage the business as a ministry. Without understanding what He meant we began to look for ways to minister to people in the mission field. For months the search continued unsuccessfully. On a normal day at the shop flyers were prepared and distributed to the employees inviting them to a family night at one of the local churches. It was while handing them out that God revealed that our ministry was for the people He put in our paths, our employees, our industry peers, our vendors, our customers, and our competitors. During that family night event one of our employees and two of his family members were saved by asking Jesus into their hearts. And so began our ministry. Soon thereafter we began praying about having a Pastor on our payroll to minister to those affiliated with JRS. Two years later Don Grant accepted the call to be our Pastor. Now looking back several years we begin to understand Gods call to ministry. Numerous salvations, much fruit of personal growth, thousands of dollars spent, three full time Pastors, numerous missionary affiliations, a Chapel on site at our Ocala facility, bible studies, scheduled and impromptu prayer times and so much more are what He intended for our ministry. Strange to comprehend in the workplace but oh so impactful, oh so refreshing, a “business” model that is oh so right.
We invite you to review the JRS Ministries page for a current description of the various ministries we are involved with and watch as God continues to reveal what it means to have a ministry in the work place.
